Compiling this week's round up of posts hit closer to home for me. I think we can all relate to the times where stress builds up and blocks inspiration. Reading each of these individually was the exact refreshment I needed (hence "lemonade"), especially with my birthday coming up next week - total outfit planning mode.

So what's in the mix? Alixrose and Decline Designs offer personal style inspirations, Fasshonaburu teaches us how to get our budget-shopping on at high-end boutique sales, hkShoeGeek talks harnesses and Fashion Consciou$ inspires by reviving the culottes trend (so cute on her).

To Protect Healthy Skin, Skin Care Tips

As we age skin becomes thinner and wrinkles. As the busy life you do not get time to take Care of Your Skin. The end result: your skin makes the brightness it had when you were born. Your skin care problems can be reduced by avoiding the sun come out, wash your face gently and applying moisturizer regularly.

Protect your skin from the sun. Ultraviolet rays from the sun can damage your skin resulting in wrinkles, liver spots, rough skin and serious problems like cancer and non-cancerous skin tumors. To protect your skin from the sun attempting to use sunscreen, use protective clothing and avoid the sun for hours of high intensity. Protect your skin from sun's rays in order to avoid going from 10 am to 4 pm Wear long-sleeved shirts, long pants and hats wide. Certain styles of clothing and fabrics can also protect your skin. Try to wear long-sleeved shirts instead of short sleeves. Wear denim and knitted products. Today, many design firms SPF clothing that protects your skin from sun's rays. Apply SPF 15 at least 20 minutes before going outdoors.

Smoking may increase wrinkles on the face. Smoking may reduce blood flow, oxygen from the skin and vitamin A are important for skin glow. All these factors can damage the collagen and elastic tissue, which gives strength and elasticity of the skin.

Avoid hot water, while washing the skin. Instead of using hot water. Hot water and long showers can remove the oil from your skin. Take a bath for only 15 minutes or less. Avoid using strong soaps as they can leave the skin dry. Instead of using mild soaps like Dove, Vanicream, Cetaphil and Purpose. If you have sensitive skin, do not use perfumes or dyes. These can cause skin allergy. When you're up to the removal of the eyes using soft sponge, cotton cloth or cotton balls to prevent damage to occur to the sensitive issues around the eyes. After Taking a Bath, pat your skin dry with a towel, so the moisture stays in your skin.

Moisturizers are very useful for your skin. These are not exhaust the water or by slowly releasing water into your skin. The moisturizer is best for you depends on your skin type, age and have acne. A good way to test whether you need a moisturizer is to wait 20 minutes after bathing. If you think your skin is firm, your skin needs a moisturizer. Apply SPF 15 to protect your skin from ultraviolet rays. If you have sensitive skin, avoid products that have strong dyes, perfumes or other additives. If your skin is very dry, apply baby oil. If you have oily skin, avoid wetting.

Shaving is an inexpensive way to remove unwanted hair. For a good shave should take care of certain things: Before shaving press hot wash cloth on the skin to soften the hair. After shaving or a hot bath or shower. To remove the hair, use a clean, sharp razor. Shave in the direction of hair growth, not against it. After all is finished, rinse the skin with lukewarm water. If irritation persists, use a lotion that has isopropyl alcohol or ethyl.

Fashion flashback

Digging through my wardrobe over the weekend, I stumbled across this cute pair of vintage culottes I remember my mum picking up for me at least 15 years ago! Firstly I was thrilled that they still fit me, and secondly I had to laugh, thinking back at how much I loathed wearing these when I was younger!

Inspired lately by 50’s and 60’s fashion, I’ve teamed the culottes with a ruffled shirt, cardigan and bow which compliment the spotty print.

On a side note, this time next week I’ll be boarding a plane bound for overseas (so excited – can’t wait!), so apologies in advance, this will be the last outfit post for a couple of weeks, but no doubt I’ll pick up lots of great overseas bargains to share upon my return.

Baby it's cold outside

I was ecstatic when I had the opportunity to spend the afternoon raiding my mother’s wardrobe. Amongst the gems was this gorgeous box pleat dress. I love the pleating in the skirt, drop waist, brocade inspired print and of course the colours. Teaming with a green coat makes for a vivid alternative to traditional monochrome winter staples - thanks mum!

This is a simple but striking outfit that exists in everyone’s wardrobe. Adding a graphic tee and a splash of colour adds interest and lifts the classic black and white.

My tip: transform a black and white base outfit by experimenting with different textures (leather, satin, metallics), prints and accessories.

Bandage me up

I picked up this great bandage skirt for a steal (A$10) and can’t stop wearing it. I like to team with ankle boots and a metallic clutch for a night out, or with a t-shirt and flats for something more casual.

My tip:
When styling the bandage look avoid pieces that are too tight. Although a figure hugging style, there is nothing worse than a ceased circulatory system. To avoid bulging in the wrong places, try the next size up, or layer your bandage skirt/dress over smoothing underwear.

Lisa Marie Presley

Lisa Marie Presley was born on May 1, 1967. This way exactly nine months from the day his parents, Elvis and Priscilla Presley, were married. She was born in Memphis Tennessee.

Lisa had a difficult relationship with her mother, Priscilla. Much of this was caused by the boyfriend of her mother, Michael Edwards. Years later, Edwards wroted a book titled "Priscilla, Elvis, and Me." Edwards was open about how he desired Lisa Marie.

She started using drugs at the young age of 14. After that, she was sent to many boarding schools and was kicked out of some of them. The last one she was expelled from was a Scientology-based school that was located in Los Angeles. She was unable to graduate before being kicked out for drug abuse. She has admitted drug use in her teen years, but also stated that she has not used drugs since she was 17.

She began her music career in 1992, by recording a demo. A duet with her father was made in 1997. The song was never official released to the radio, but it was shown as a video at the 20th Anniversary of Elvis.

She signed with Capitol Records in 1998 and had an album scheduled to be released in 2000. The process took a lot longer that anticipated, and it was not released until 2003. The album reached #5 on the billboard charts. This album and her second album are both certified platinum as of 2006.

Presley has had a very turbulent personal life. She was first married to Danny Keough in 1988. Keough was a musician as well. They had a boy and a girl together in 1989 and 1992, respectively. In 1994, they divorced in the Dominican Republic. Despite the divorce, Presley has remained a friend of Keough's and they have even made songs together since then. Keough even lives on her property in a guest house.

Presley got married to Michael Jackson in 1994 in the Dominican Republic. This happened just twenty days after the divorce with Keough.

Due to the allegations against Jackson in his sexual assault case, she was forced to play a big role in the story. Later, in 2005 she was called upon as a witness for the case.

She was quoted as saying she believed he was wrongly accused. Jackson leaned on Presley heavily for emotional support during these times. Presley stated that Jackson was fighting a tough addictions to drugs during the entire ordeal.

In 2000 she was engaged to rock star John Oszajca. This was brief. She met Nicholas Cage at a party and soon broke off the engagement.

The relationship with Cage and Presley was a very turbulent one. They were married August 10, 2002, just ten days after Cage proposed. Cage was a huge Elvis fan and is rumored to be the only person not in the Presley family that has seen Elvis' Graceland bedroom.

The marriage lasted less than four months. Cage filed for divorce after 108 days. The process of getting a divorce actually lasted longer than the marriage itself.

In 1980, Lisa Marie Presley was appointed sole heir to the estate. The money was placed in a trust fund and she received it on her 25th birthday.
